Beauty 4 Ashes (My story)

Image
My name is Prophetess Shaquita Jones, and I've been in ministry for a little over 10 years. I am a true witness that there is a heavy price we must pay to be anointed for real, for everyone has a story. I've come to know that people will see you praying and speaking the Word of the Lord with fervency, but they don't know all that you had to go through to get there.  There is a saying that a flower must go through a lot of dirt to become beautiful. Here is the dirt I had to go thr ough... I grew up in a single parent home until I was 9 years old. My mother married my stepfather and tried to make the family complete, but for a long time I was ashamed of where I came from. When I looked at pictures of myself when I was a little girl, I would hold back tears because I could still feel the hurt that was masked behind the smile. When I was 6 years old up until the age of 9 I was molested by a family member then at the age of 12 I was raped by another fam...

True Grace

Image
...I have written briefly exhorting and testifying that this is true grace of God wherein ye stand."(1 Peter 5:12b) Here Peter emphasizes the true grace of God because there was a false theme of grace being preached in the church even in his day. It's sad that leaders have crept into the church turning the grace of God into lasciviousness.  Real grace teaches us how to deny ungodliness and worldly lust. The church must realize that God does not overlook our sins. Grace never takes away our responsibility to keep the commandments of God. Rather it enables us to obey them.... God offers his divine grace so that we may be freed from sin's clutches in order to do his will. Where sin abounds, grace can much more abound (Rom.5:20b).  There are two meanings for grace: 1. Grace is undeserved and unmerited favor. It is God's sovereign goodness and kindness toward us. 2. Grace is a divine enablement and strength. It is a transforming, enabling power. I want t...

A Father's Love

Image
A FATHER”S LOVE  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. As we are approaching Father's Day I want to reflect on the love of a father. There is absolutely nothing like the love of a Father. In the natural we look to our fathers as the man who can do no wrong. We look at them as the man who would keep us safe from all harm. We look to them to provide for our everyday needs. We look to them to care for and comfort us. All of these attributes I speak of are taken from the ultimate Abba Father.  The world was lost and without hope, but because of a Father's love  we are now found.  We were sheep without a shepherd headed to the slaughter house, but God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son to die even though He knew no sin.  There is nothing like a Father's love. 1 John 4:9-10 says... "In this love of God was manifested towa...

A call for intercessors

Image
This is a word the Lord gave me some time ago and I was lead to share it again... As I was before the Lord this morning He pressed upon my heart to release this word for all intercessors...The word of God in the book of Isaiah the 14th chapter and the 28th verse says "This is the burden which came in the year that King Ahaz died". The Lord revealed to me that the burden did not come UNTIL King Ahaz died which represents hinderances that causes intercessors from  feeling the burden of prayer and prophecy. It cause us to rejoice when there should be a time of weeping. Even with this whole thing with Osama Bin Laden's death the bible says in Pro. 11:10 when it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices and when the wicked perish this is jublation. But if you go back to Isaiah 14:29 it says Do not rejoice, all you of Philistia(America) Because the rod that struck you is broken; For out of the serpents's roots will come forth a viper...

Give up the ghost!

Image
Give up the ghost! James 1:12-15 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted of God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown, brings forth death.  Some of us may be asking ourselves why is that I continue to go through the same things, or why is it the I attract the same kinds of people. (Especially us ladies)! Why do I continue to attract the same kind of men.  I believe I have the answer for that... First we are living in a world and even part of the church that is crying out why Lord, but the problem is we begin to blame others for our actions, or it's always someone else's fault that we are in certain...

Wait on the Lord

Image
I feel the need to encourage you on today... There is a promise that God has made to you and it seems like it will never come to pass. It seems like everything is happening that is opposite of what was spoken, but on this day I say to you arise and believe God for the impossible. This test is to stretch your faith. Don't give up, for you are almost there. Remember God said, "They that wait upon the Lord, He shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall walk and not be weary; they shall run and not be faint." This is His response to those who are in the season of waiting. Right now even as you read this post I prophesy supernatural strength to arise within you to press. I declare and decree that your latter shall be greater then the former. I declare that old things have past away and all things have become new. God is indeed doing a new thing on the inside of you. Don't fight the process, instead embrace the process. This ...
