A Father's Love

A FATHER”S LOVE

 John 3:16

 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

As we are approaching Father's Day I want to reflect on the love of a father. There is absolutely nothing like the love of a Father. In the natural we look to our fathers as the man who can do no wrong. We look at them as the man who would keep us safe from all harm. We look to them to provide for our everyday needs. We look to them to care for and comfort us. All of these attributes I speak of are taken from the ultimate Abba Father. 

 The world was lost and without hope, but because of a Father's love  we are now found.  We were sheep without a shepherd headed to the slaughter house, but God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son to die even though He knew no sin. 

 There is nothing like a Father's love.

 1 John 4:9-10 says...

"In this love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

 It was not because we were so good. It was not because we loved Him so much, but it was because He loved us so much. 

There is nothing like a Father's love...

 Romans 8:38-39

 I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God.

 Some of us may not have had the pleasure of experiencing a natural father's love, but we have a heavenly Father who loves us so much that NO-THING could cause the flow of His love to stop. You may have never heard your natural father say, "I love you",but hear your Father in heaven...

 "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in my love. I have loved you with an everlasting love therefore it is with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Come and experience the rivers of living water. Even though you come to me sowing many tears you shall reap unspeakable joy. Rejoice for I am a Father to you." 

 The love that He gives is agape, it's unconditional, it's perfect, it's without measure, and forgiving... 

 This is the love only a PERFECT Father can give. This is the love our Lord and Savior demonstrated on the cross. 

 There is nothing like a Father's love...
