Learning to accept the grace of God

Image
And since it is through God's kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God's grace would not be what it really is, free and undeserved.  Rom. 11:6 (NLT) I have been in situations where I really beat myself up for falling short. I am a born again believer who preaches obedience to God more than anything else. I teach on how God's grace is available to all of us who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I study this, I teach this, but somehow when I fall I can go into this deep condemnation that brings about depression sometimes. But you might ask, how can you who know the will of God, which is His word fall under the devil's condemnation? How can you who teach and encourage others and still fall like this? I've asked myself this many times and it wasn't until God spoke to me that I got a revelation and got free. He said, "Daughter you have not accepted the gift of grace that I have given you. You still think it's about you...

Fear Not

Image
I f you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plague will come near your home. For He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. Psalms 91:9-11 I know it's hard witnessing the things that are going on in the land right now. I know its hard trying to keep your mind from thinking the worst. It's hard to believe anything good will come out of all of this. But, I'm reminded of the word of God where Jesus tells us to take heart, because He has overcome the world. In these last and evils days the only thing that can and will give us hope is relying and trusting on the One who is faithful even when we are not.  God has not changed just because it seems the world is growing colder. He will always protect those that belongs to Him, that is one of the promises He makes to His people. As we see in the scripture above, He protects those who seek refuge in Him. The key is taking refuge in Him. Believing th...

What is avoided will be exposed involuntarily

Image
But there is nothing [so carefully] concealed that it will not be revealed, nor so hidden that it will not be made known. Luke 12:2 AMP So many times we avoid the things that make us uncomfortable. We're more comfortable with acting as though certain things never happened not realizing there is something that takes place when this is our way of living. Think of it this way, when we get cut the first thing we do is look for something to stop the bleeding. Then we clean the wound then cover it with a bandage. Or if the wound is too deep, we go to the hospital to get a professional to look at it then stitch it up. Now, that's the correct way to deal with a wound. This is the natural way of dealing with a wound. Spiritually speaking the concept is still the same. How we deal with the wound makes all the difference. For example, I saw in a movie once, this girl was trying to save a mother and her daughter. In the process of trying to save t...

He that has an ear let him hear!

Image
Hear Me, says the Lord! Did you forget that it was I who knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb? Did you forget that it was I who created your ending before your beginning? Surely you have forgotten that nothing gets pass My eye. Surely you have forgotten that it is foolish to contend against your Maker. Shall the clay say to the potter, what are you doing?  I am answering the questions of your hearts today. You have silently asked why, and because you didn't understand you rebelled instead of coming to Me. You've hardened your heart against My will because you couldn't see that I was putting you in the position to find and receive the greatest treasure you have ever had. My dear ones My arm is not too short to save you. My ear is not so far away that I wouldn't hear you. I long not only to have a relationship with you, but I also yearn to fellowship with you. The treasures that I desire to give can be found in this dark place. I am...

Everything we need is in Him

Image
Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. O my soul, you have said to the Lord, You are my Lord. My goodness is nothing apart from You. O Lord, you are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. I have set the Lord ALWAYS before me because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope. You will show me the path of life; IN YOUR PRESENCE IS FULLNESS OF JOY; AT YOUR RIGHT HAND ARE PLEASURES FOREVERMORE. Psalms 16:1,2,5,6,8,9,11 (NKJV) How important is God's presence to you? This is a question that I have been asking lately. Many will say that His presence is very important, they may even say that the presence of God is the most precious thing to them, and it should be. Now those of us who have truly been in His presence know that its real and the change in us becomes not only real, but EVIDENT. It is a known fact that no one who has truly come in contact wit...

Lord help me to finish what I start

Image
But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore, putting away lying, “ Let each one of  you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitt...

A love letter to the Lover of my soul!

Image
There is none like You, O Lord; You are great, and great is Your mighty and powerful name. Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For it is appropriate and it is Your due! For among all the wise men of the nations and in all their kingdoms, THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU. Jeremiah 10:6-7 (AMP) Have you ever just sat a thought about how good God has been to you? Have you ever sat still long enough just to meditate on His goodness? I ask these questions because sometimes we lose sight on how fortunate we are to have some one like the Lord on our side. The scripture says, "There is none like You." Can we all agree that there is none like the Lord? I'm writing this short blog just to help you see the brighter side of things. The world has painted this picture of disaster, and life has dealt us all a bad hand from time to time, but the fact still remains that there is none like the Lord.  If I could write a love letter to the Lo...
