What is avoided will be exposed involuntarily
But there is nothing [so carefully] concealed that it will not be revealed, nor so hidden that it will not be made known. Luke 12:2 AMP
So many times we avoid the things that make us uncomfortable. We're more comfortable with acting as though certain things never happened not realizing there is something that takes place when this is our way of living.
Think of it this way, when we get cut the first thing we do is look for something to stop the bleeding. Then we clean the wound then cover it with a bandage. Or if the wound is too deep, we go to the hospital to get a professional to look at it then stitch it up. Now, that's the correct way to deal with a wound. This is the natural way of dealing with a wound.
Spiritually speaking the concept is still the same. How we deal with the wound makes all the difference.
For example, I saw in a movie once, this girl was trying to save a mother and her daughter. In the process of trying to save them she cut herself on a sharp metal object. She staggered a bit, but kept doing what she was doing never mentioning that she was injured to anyone.
As time went on, she got really sick with a fever. Those who were around her had no idea what was wrong because by that time she was too sick to talk. Good thing she was in a library and they were able to read about her symptoms and figure out what was wrong. That's when they discovered she had a wound that got infected, and if she didn't get a dose of penicillin she would go into septic shock and die.
I guess I'm weird in the sense of always trying to find a lesson in everything. I thought about us while watching this play out because just like this girl we try to go on with life as usual without tending to the wounds that have been inflicted. Things like molestation, rape, abandonment, rejection, or any kind of abuse creates wounds in our souls and just like the girl in the movie if left untreated it becomes infected which causes other issues.
It causes the soul to be infected with hurt, anger, hatred, resentment, unforgiveness, and a plethora of other emotions that we try to hide, but eventually it exposes itself and it shows through the way we handle life.
These things will begin to shape how we see, hear, and think. Unresolved issues will always show up in our relationships. It doesn't matter if it's a friend or family member. There are no boundaries to what can be destroyed when dealing with an infected wound. The infection will begin to spread which can cause death, figuratively speaking.
Before long friendships are killed, a marriage dies, the bond that a brother and sister have, or a bond between parent and child can be destroyed all because of infected wounds of the soul.
I encourage you to get the help you need. Stop putting band aids on wounds that need to be surgically repaired. I encourage you to confront the pain no matter how hard you think it may be. Give yourself permission to feel it so that it can be dealt with properly. Remember whatever we refuse to confront we cannot heal from.
Allow God to do the surgery that's needed so that you can heal properly. Understand that everything that you've gone through up until now, is working out for your good. God has a plan and purpose for allowing these things to take place.
The bible says,"For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord , ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope."
JEREMIAH 29:11 AMP
Before you were knitted together in your mother's womb He knew you. He knew what would happen to you at the age of 6. He knew that your mother would leave you. He knew that your father would walk away from you. He knew you would deal with lots of heartache and pain.
He knew, yet He still said,
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
ISAIAH 43:2 AMP
This was written before you experienced those things. So grab hold to the promises of God. He cannot lie, if He said you're coming out, guess what? You're coming out! Always remember, everything the devil used to destroy you God is turning it around to bless you. Now you may say, how can what they did to me be turned around to bless me?
I'm glad you asked. Take me for instance, at the age of 6 up until 10 I was sexually molested by my uncle. My father told me he had to stop coming around at the age of 9. At the age of 12, I was raped by a friend of the family. I got pregnant at the age of 14 to only have the man that I got pregnant by to deny my child. I was in an abusive relationship from the age of 15 to 22, and I got locked up while pregnant. Of course, this is not all that took place, but I was a broken little girl to say the least, who started looking for love in all the wrong places. Through it all, God's hand was still on my life. I had to learn to trust God with my heart. I had to learn to trust God with all of my secrets. I had to learn to trust God when I didn't see a reason to be here anymore. I had to come to the conclusion that I was tired of being angry, I was tired of fighting, I was tired of existing and not living. I came to the conclusion that it was time to confront me!
Listen people of God, confess the hurt, confess the anger, and ask God to forgive you for holding on to it, then ask for His grace to let it go and move forward.
It will truly bless your entire life. Your relationships will be better, your decision making will be better, how you hear will be better. Everything about you will be better.
Embrace the grace of God today. In Jesus name!
Amen
God bless you

Father GOD, I pray to use your grace, (which you freely give us), to speak on those things which have scarred me mentally, physically, and spiritually, so that the healing can finally begin. In Jesus name I pray to let go of all hurt and resentment I have towards my father. I pray to love him unconditionally as you love me. I pray to let go of all false knowledge or doctrine I have been taught by the world and allow your Holy Spirit to reveal the things which were spoken by your lips. I pray to not seek to make a name for myself, but rather perform your will and make your kingdom be made known here on Earth as it is in Heaven. I pray to allow my self to become clean through the blood of Christ so that I may be used by you in your way, will and timing. I pray for all of these things in the name of Jesus, Amen 🙏🏾
So my plans for the future is to go through this stripping process and allow God to bust through the hard soil to these seeds that were sown through hurt, pain, resentment, abandonment, self esteem just to name a few.
Today I recognize these things and I bless God for the surgery he’s performing to fix me!!!
I’m going from Broken and Bitter to Better!!!!
