Transparency will set you free!

Ephesian 4:25

Therefore having put away falsehood, let each one of your speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.

This is a subject that you really don't hear to much about. Being transplant is almost a foreign language to some, but if we are ever going to get anywhere as the body of Christ we have to expose the lies of the enemy. Some of us are battling with things that have been hidden for years, yet we know how to speak the "church" lingo, and we know how to put on that Sunday smile deceiving everyone into thinking everything is okay, but the truth us there is a cry for help on the inside of us. Some of you who are reading this post right now are dealing with things that you feel are so gruesome that you can't possibly share it with anyone else. The devil has made you feel like people will not respect, nor accept you if they knew that you were struggling in a certain area in your life.

Before I go any further I want to reassure you that Jesus loves and accepts you through every failure, every short coming, and through every issue that you may have. Our lives or lifestyles does not catch Him by surprise, and it is the enemy that would have you to think that you need to put on this facade in order for you to be loved or accepted.

If we are ever going to be free we have to be willing to lay an axe to the root of these issues and expose them for the sins that they are. One of the things we have to realize is the real problem is not the issue that we are struggling with in itself, it is that we desire the approval of others, so we feel like we have to measure up to their standards instead of living up to what God has called us to be. When we crave the approval of others we work hard to hide our mistakes, our faults, and our flaws. We have the appearance that all is well, but the truth of the matter is things aren't well at all.

The root of this kind of behavior is fear of being rejected, or fear of not winning the approval of people we want to impress. This subject is very near and dear to me because I have seen so many fall because they've struggled with things that they deem to be detestable or not worth talking about, but the truth is whatever stays in the dark cannot be dealt with. Eph. 4: 25 admonishes us to be real with one another. Tell the truth and stop lying because at the end of the day we are all in this together. We are all trying to make it to heaven. Don't you know that your struggle can very well be someone elses breakthrough. Your testimony can be and should be, "If God did it for me, He surely can do it for you.

The problem with this is some of us are still in the sin. We haven't given up the ground, so that makes it hard to witness to someone dealing with the same issue. After all how can we minister deliverance when we are still bound ourselves? This is why we need people around us to hold us accountable. You need people who will listen and pray you through. No, you can't tell everybody everything, but God will always set us up to win. He will place people in our lives that we can trust, but we have to desire to be helped.

This post is a cry for the body of Christ as a whole.  We can't keep thinking wearing masks is a normal thing to do. You will find that people will appreciate your transparency. People want to be able to relate to us as being real and genuine. You will find that being honest about your shortcomings usually brings you closer to people rather than separate you from them. Instead of embracing this truth we walk in condemnation therefore causing us to be  ashamed of our flaws, so we hide them and never receive deliverance because of fear that we're going to be looked down upon.

The bible says, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32). It's time to start telling the truth. It's time to live the truth. It's time to be the truth. We've lived this lie for too long. God is calling us to come higher, but before this can take place we have to get rid of the baggage that has been weighing us down. Lay aside every weight and every sin that so easily entangles you.

When light enters a room darkness has to cease. Shed light on every dark area in your life, so that the enemy will have no footholds in your life. Remember we serve a forgiving God, and He will by no means throw us away. Ask God to send the RIGHT people in your life that will help see you through. If He has sent you someone talk to them, confess your faults one to another that you can be healed.

CAST ALL OF YOUR CARES UPON HIM BECAUSE HE TRULY CARES FOR YOU!

God bless you
